The great and highly advanced Roman waterway system known as the Aqueducts, are among the greatest achievements in the ancient world. The running water, indoor Plumbing and sewer system carrying away disease from the population within the Empire wasn't surpassed in capability until very modern times. The Aqueducts, being the most visible and glorious piece of the ancient water system, stand as a testament to Roman engineering. Some of these ancient structures are still in use today in various capacities.

Many ancient cultures began with more than one person holding the power. The Romans had a system where 2 men were and 'main rulers' with one another but whenever there were extenuating circumstances, it was alright for one man to take over the position. The one in charge still had the Senate to keep him in line but the extenuating circumstances clause allowed for Caesar to take over and become Emperor.

In the beginning of ancient Egypt, there were 2 kingdoms with one king each, the Red King who wore the familiar serpent crown, and the White king. When one of the white kings fought against his partner red king, only one came out victorious.

Therefore, one thing that ancient Rome and Egypt have in common is there were 2 kings but that quickly went down to one king. Other than that there are similar farming techniques...

they are both ancient.

Ancient Egypt was before Ancient Rome.

There were also huge cultural differences.

They spoke different languages.

Although they had different gods, they were fairly similar. They were both polytheistic(had many gods). In Ancient Rome, some people worshipped Egyptian gods and goddesses such as Isis.

Both cultures also used gold and wore light, airy, clothes, but they weren't really that similar.

The ancient Greek and Roman governments were alike in the fact that every citizen was allowed to vote. In other words, they both had officials who were elected by the people.
