A pharaoh was first liberated of all his organs. The doctors would go in and take all his intestines, guts, and body parts so only his form remained. It was believed that the extra organs would weigh down his form as he journeyed to the Other World. The organs were then put in an extremely decorated vase showing one of the Egyptians gods. Then they carefully removed his brain and through it away as it was believed that you wouldn't need your brain in the AfterLife. He was then embalmed with liquid as to preserve his entity. Afterwards, he left out in the sun to dry, buried with salt so his body would erode faster and his soul could escape. After drying for a few days, he was then bandaged. Then came the hard work because Pharaohs had Pyramids constructed for them. At first, they used to be little tombs but soon, one person thought that a God( people thought Pharaohs were gods) should be buried in a tomb fit for a God.
Planning was usually postponed until the Nile flooded because that was the only time they could start construction at the Valley of the Kings. Limestone blocks weighing 2 tons or more apiece were then hauled onto each other using speculated methods which archeologists still can't place. Months and even years could go by before the Pyramid was completed. Then it was laced with all the King's riches in the King's tomb room. In another room, his slaves were also killed and laid to rest as to serve him in the AfterLife. After the rooms are sealed shut, the builders set booby traps, backing out of the Pyramid before adding the door and leaving. The king's pyramid is done.
