most Egyptian children didn't go to school. Though, they had tutors at home. some boys went to a special school just for boys were they were taught how to be a scribe.

Another answer

Education for all children is a fairly recent thing. For the ancient Egyptians, education was for the rich. These children had tutors who taught one or two children in the home and girls were not part of the system. Boys who were the second child in the family could be trained in the priestly class. The reason why is that the first born boy inherited the family title and wealth so he didn't become a priest. Reading and writing were considered to be important subjects for the wealthy people, not for everybody.

Obviously. Just look at what they did. One does not simply do stuff like that without schooling.
