Caesar was possibly the greatest mortal man of all time. From his rise to roman dominance in politics to invincibility in battle it is not possible to detail his triumphs to one or two paragraphs. However, I would focus on his military campaigns in Gaul, Belgium, and Britain and then the Roman civil war. Also, his garnering of complete and monarchial power, turning Rome into a Imperial state rather than the former republic.

During his lifetime, Augustus achieved many great feats. First of all he defeated those who had collaborated in the assasination of Ceasar. He also became the first official emperor of Rome. He expanded the empire and established peace in the empire that we know as Pax Romana. This relatively peaceful period would last for around two centuries. Lastly, Augustus defeated Mark Antony and Marcus Lepidus to attain sole control of the empire. He was arguably, Rome's finest emperor.

You can ask ten people this question and you'll get ten different answers. Augustus had many accomplishments, such as the Pax Romana, the refilling of the treasury, professionalizing the army, rebuilding Rome's infrastructure, appointing men to the senate who had wide varieties of backgrounds. However, I think his greatest accomplishment was how he engineered the smooth transition from the republic to the principate.
