The Ancient Egyptians were polytheistic meaning the belief in many gods.

They had many different gods, goddesses and deities, each with their own stories. The different gods were in charge of different aspects of life and the world. Their religion was similar to Greek and Roman religions, but they had different practices and different gods. They had temples, priests, and priestesses, and taxes were paid to the temples, so it was an organized religion.
