A gigantic statue that stood with one foot one either side of the harbor on the island of Rhodes, Greece. Ships entering the harbor sailed between its legs. It was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. It was also about 30.5 metres tall. When it broke there was one remaining piece of the body. that was the thumb. people were still very happy to go and see the remaining thumb of the colossus of rhodes.
