Amur is a region in Russia that is situated in the South East of the Russian Federation. The region has borders with China in the South, Yukutia in the North and Chita in the West. Its size is comparable to Poland. The region consists of 20 Districts, 9 Towns, 24 Urban settlements and 600 small settlements. The main rivers in the area are the Armur,Zeya and Byreya. Main forms of industry are Brown coal, Electric power manufacture, Timber manufacture and Gold mining. The area is also known for its abundant wildlife, including the endangered Amur Tiger.
