Tacitus was the son-in-law of Gnaeus Julius Agricola, he was a Pivotal roman historian who made several writings and provided valuble information on the ancient Germanic peoples and Caledonian/ancient scottish people. he is probably most famous for his book "The agricola" which provides insight on the roman invasion of Scotland by his father-in-law, Gnaeus julius Agricola, he also wrote information and observations on the culture of the picts and caledonians and their agriculture and military life. and also provides the only existing account on the battle of mons Graupius between the romans and the Caledonians.
