Circe is sorceress who lived on the island of Aeaea. She was an expert in witchcraft, morphism, and sorcery. When ships would come onto her island she would turn all the men, and even some women she didn't like, into animals; mostly pigs. She would do this by putting certain herbs into their food then changing them with her scepter.

She wasn't a goddess though, just a sorceress.
