The best Ancient Greek historians was probably Herodotus he was very fact-based but he does slip in mythology told through generations so some of it isn't too true!

There were many Roman Historians. Famous ones are Livy, Tacitus, Sallust, Suetonius, Cassius Dio, Appianus, Gnaeus Gellius and Ammianus Marcellinus.
