Greek myths and dramas are important because they teach us about ancient greek culture and they teach us how those shaped the world today and because we need to learn the Greek myths what they believed because they are the ones that have lots of gods and demi-gods and drama is part of life and what we become to be, for example, you are the sweetest person on earth then someone starts drama and you change your personality or you like the drama and you become into a drama speaking person and you talk to the other sweetest girl on earth about drama and she likes it and becomes one of you starting the whole cycle all over again. Very complicates sorry!!!!!!
I am an expert on Greek myths. Hades was banished to the Underworld by his brothers Zeus and Poseidon. He stayed there forever and is still there now if you believe in this stuff. Hades only got to come up from the Underworld during the winter solstice for an annual meeting of the Gods.
Greek gods, in Greek mythology are immortal (can't die).
Yes. There are products named after Greek gods, movies are made with stories around Greek gods and mythology , the planets were named by the Greeks for Gods, buildings copy Greek designs, government are based on the Greek idea of democracy, children are given names of Greek gods, and knowing Greek mythology is considered the foundation of a good education.
Well like today people gather around campfires and tell stories over and over again. Now a days a lot of use books but back then campfire stories were a lot like books. Those stories were used to explain what man can not explain. That is how the Greek Gods came to be, a ton of myths from a really great story teller. So myths come from back before christ when like today curios story tellers tell those willing to hear stories about things they can not explain. Only the most famous ones are still in use today.
Well...... The best answer would be Athens, but remember, Greece was not an organized country then. If you count Crete and all the islands, there are many. But back then, Athens was still an important city.
They are still important to us today because they inspire us and are works of art. They are stories of love, hatred, sadness, and so much more interesting things! So, that is why the Greek myths and dramas are still important today!
The myths and legends are entertaining. The drama is entertaining.

Myths are stories we do not believe in (any longer). Stories we do believe are not considered myths. The Greek myths were the religion of the ancient Greeks. It has been supplanted by Christianity.
Certainly as they are recounted in schools across the world; someone might.

in myths passed down through generations, and still passed today as stories
In times before we had scientific explanations to natural phenomena, people sought an explanation and other people invented myths to explain them. The myths filled these gaps in people's understanding. As the Greeks progressively established real answers, so they replaced the myths. This was not of course complete, and people today still give religious answers to matters which can plainly be observed as having secular answers.
When the Greeks and early Latin people began to interact and trade, they noticed many similarities in their religions. Rome's beginnings were in Greek colony and Trojan resettlement. It's obvious that they combined the two religions, applying Latin names to the Greek myths as appropriate. There are, however, still many differences, and some myths are uniquely Greek or Roman.
The Christians. As Christianity spread through Rome, the Roman army conquered Greece ,thereby forcing Christianity to be the main religion. However Greek myths are still told and there are people who follow the Greek religion.
