Why did cronus swallow his children? Let ME explain this better. Cronus was told that the next son he would have would kill him and rule the gods. So, cronus ate his 5 children. But his wife hid the last child and gave cronus a rock instead of Zues and when he was old enough he had metis create a potion that would make cronus spit up the children he had swallowed. After the gods/godesses were out of cronus they all fought him. The titans helped cronus. The ttans were sent to tartarus where they would be punished forever and Cronus was killed.
