Bruce Gray was interested in the arts from a young age. He studied all art related subjects at highschool. He then went on to college where his portfolio was rejected, so a few months later he approached the dean with a new portfolio. The dean knew that he had promise so he was let in on a probationary basis. After college he got into Photography and advertising, but after the sudden death of his mother he realised he wasnt living up to his creative potential. He then drove to Los Angeles, bought a welder and taught himself how to use it, and therefore became a sculptor.
