Paul Klee was highly respected German/Swiss artist whose genres included expressionism, surrealism an cubism. He married Bavarian pianist, Lily Stumpf in 1906. The couple's son, Felix was born the same year. A great admirer of the art of children, Klee studied the art of Felix as well as those of other children. He also created a vast collection of puppets he created for his son's amusement.
