An artist created images on paper or canvas. A print maker then etches those images onto metal to create prints of the artwork. A print artist, therefore, sounds like they do both. Most searches for 'print artist' online result in software packages since there are many with this name, but there does not appear to be an occupation that is officially called this.

If you meant artist as in the people who make artwork, Katsushika Hokusai is EXTREMELY famous. I can almost guarantee that you have seen one of his prints before..If you meant artist like a musician, then both Gackt and Ayumi Hamasaki are extremely famous artists.
