Ha van Vuong is, I believe, a Vietnamese artist born in 1914. Her most famous painting is Mandolin, which graces many a student's walls. The company Athena International used to sell a number of prints of her works but they are quite hard to come by. She worked in pencil, watercolours and oil. Paintings of Ha van Vuongs include:
Mandolin
Drummers
Roses
Tulips
Chrysanthemums
Helping Mother
The Banana Sellers
Autumn
The Kitchen Table
Itinerant Singer (1975) is in the Tate Collection but not on public display
I would love to find out more information myself. Maybe someone will write a book about her.
