They didn't. The Japanese conflicts occurring just before and
during World War 1 had no impact on the European war; this was
caused (at least basically) by imperialism and nationalism,
combined with aggressive expansion attempts by some groups.
Adolf Hitler of Nazi Germany, Benito Mussolini of Fascist Italy, and Hideki Tojo of the Empire of Japan were all fascists, but Hitler and Tojo took on other titles (Nazi and militarist); only Mussolini was strictly called a fascist.
