The Hartford Convention was located in Hartford, Connecticut.
The main goal of the New England Federalists was to voice their
opinion that the Constitution favored the South more heavily than
the North as well as to demontrate how Madison's conduct during the
war was not benefiting the North. The Hartford Convention was
really about states' rights and the rights' that states as
individual entities have underneath the Constitution.
