When they rose in revolt in the years 66-72, they caused Rome to mobilize a huge part of the Roman army, bringing in legions from as far away as Germany to put down the revolt. They rose in revolt again in 132, with a similar impact. This was classic "asymmetric warfare" where a small badly funded rebel group causes a huge empire to go seriously into debt trying to suppress them.
