Only the people who agreed with Brutus thought he was a patriot. The majority of the population supported Caesar and did not think Brutus' action was patriotic. People who thought this saw Brutus as the saviour of the Republic, its liberties and its traditions. Caesar was assassinated because he gave rise to suspicions that he wanted to become a king. This would not only meant the end of the Republic, but also the beginning of Tyranny. Since the Roman Republic had been established with the overthrow of the last king of Rome, who was a tyrant, the Romans associated monarchy with tyranny. The establishment of the Republic was seen as the victory of liberty over tyranny.
Brutus is what we today consider a last name. The man's complete name was Marcus Junius Brutus.
In Act III, Scene 2 of Julius Caesar, Brutus explains to the people of Rome (The Plebeians) that Caesar's murder it was just a mere sacrifice for the greater good of Rome and it was not committed in a means of anger.
Marcus Brutus is famous or infamous firstly because he was one of Caesar's killers. Secondly, he was a man who literally owed his life to Caesar, after the war with Pompey. He was also the recipient of many other kindnesses from Caesar, and then to turn against him both politically and physically, was an act that history finds despicable.

Brutus never ruled, at least not in Rome. He stole a governorship and that's the closest he came to being a ruler.
He liked them
"Why does WHO think Brutus" - we can not answer an incomplete question.
He gives him the letters he has forged to put on Brutus's seat in the Senate, through his windows, and on his statutes, so that Brutus will read them and think the people support him.
i think that brutus was a good person i think the bad thing brutus did was he tried to kill everyone i think the bad thing brutus did was he tried to kill everyone I think this answer is not sufficient. The first mistake committed by Caesar is that he allowed Mark Antony to deliver the oration in the pulpit. The second mistake is that he spoke in a way that was non-influential whereas his counterpart, Antony appealed to the emotions of the people.
The common people thought Brutus as a traitor because as told by Antony, Brutus was the dear heart of Caesar whom he loved unconditionally, he was the best friend considered by Caesar, yet he stabbed Caesar and at that moment Caesar's blood rushed out to check whether Brutus, his beloved friend, had knocked so ungently. This picture presented by Antony moulded the people's feelings against Brutus and they considered him as a traitor.
There are many reasons that Brutus may think it is time to die. He may have seen angels for example.
Caesar was a mentor to Brutus and some historians think Brutus may have been his son. Brutus will be involved in the murder of Caesar.
Brutus was romes first consul
i think he fees that he can manipulate Brutus to turn his back on Caesar.
As he was dying and saw Brutus who he thought of as a son he asked him " you too, Brutus"'because he was surprised to see him.
