There are several conflicts festering in Asia. There is the war in Afghanistan, the ongoing dispute in Kashmir between India and Pakistan, the ethnic violence that has erupted in Burma/Myanmar between Buddhists and Muslims, the unresolved war between North Korea and South Korea (no one is presently shooting, but North Korea insists that it is actually at war, and could strike its enemies at any time, even threatening to use nuclear weaons). The province of Chechnya is in rebellion against Russia. Afghanistan is where the greatest amount of actual fighting is taking place, but any of these other conflicts could get worse.
Germany wanted to to expand in Europe. Italy wanted to expand in Africa. Japan wanted to expand in Asia & the Pacific.
World War 1 and World War 2 were the last declared wars that the US participated in.I'm sure however that there have been small regional warsafter World War 2, that the US did not participate in that were declared wars by the regional participants in those wars.
The wars were in Europe and Asia, and did not reach North America.
Because the US Army manages US wars; the US Army has jurisdiction over land wars. USAF & USN SUPPORT the US Army. The US Army always preferred to study Europe for future wars; the US Army absolutely did not want to fight any Asian Wars. Money (Defense Budgets) were 99% allocated for European Wars. Asia represented a dirty filthy ruthless war fought without mercy. Europe represented chivalry and the fine art of hi-tech weapons.
No, it has not been in any wars yet. ;)
