The value of these stamps is usually $6.00 per stamp. Scott specialized catalogue
I have a complete booklet of stamps, 50, mounted as purchased in 1943, with my signature and other descriptions and details on the covers.
Does this make the booklet and stamps more valuable? What would be the best way to sell it, if I choose to, by auction or which method?
If uncirculated, all US stamps are perpetually worth their face value as postage. If cancelled (in other words, to a stamp collector) it varies considerably from stamp to stamp. Uncancelled World War II stamps - to a collector - are probably worth the most. In stamp collecting, as a general rule, any uncancelled stamp is worth more than the same stamp that has been cancelled.
hardly anything there are loads of them
The war ration stamps are very common and the demand for them in the collector's circle is not very high. A complete book might get $10, partial books and single stamps are not going to be anywhere near as valuable. The sentimental value is of more worth, as it reminds people of the struggles and their contribution to the war effort.

Civilians raised money for WW1 by buying war bonds and stamps. Children were encouraged to raise money for bonds and stamps as well. Children helped to raise a good deal of money.

No such thing, as Adolf Hitler was a corporal in World War 1.
If they are originals, that is made from the original negatives at the time, yes.

I think you are referring to the rations stamps issued during World War 2. I would have to have a better description. They are worth about $5 a book, not much, more a couriosity for those that lived during that era.
