Well first of all it is the battle of *Aquia Creek. There were no casualties for either side. There is estimated to be about 9 wounded on the Confederate side, and 1 wounded on the Union side. The Union bombarded the Confederate batteries with no results. After a few days the Confederate soldiers were ordered to withdraw from their fortifications and help with the Peninsula Campaign.

Joseph E. Johnston. He was very seriously wounded, and hospitalised for many months. They tried to put him back in uniform before he was fully recovered, but he had to go back to hospital. However, he was eventually fit to resume command, and was posted to Jackson, Missisisippi in Spring '63 to confront Grant at Vicksburg. Here his orders to the garrison commander (to get out and save his army) conflicted with direct appeals from President Davis to hold the river-port at al costs. One important consequence of Johnston's wounding and hospitalisation was the appointment of Robert E. Lee to replace him.
In the midst of the McClellan Peninsula campaign, Confederate General Joseph Johnston was wounded and was out of action. Jefferson Davis was aware of Robert E. Lee's talents, and had placed Lee in charge of defeating the Peninsula campaign. Lee was always a well respected Union commander. With his success in the Peninsula campaign, Lee took over Eastern Confederate military operations.
During the Peninsula campaign the fighting for Richmond began at Fair Oaks. General Johnston was wounded during his attack on Union forces and was replaced by General Robert E. Lee.

Among the Union casualties, there were 460 killed, 1,124 wounded, and 1,312 missing or captured. For the Confederate casualties, there were 387 killed, 1,582 wounded, and 13 missing. Francis S. Bartow was the first Confederate brigade commander to be killed in the Civil War. General Bee was mortally wounded and died the following day.
Theodore Roosevelt made his speech after being shot. He was not seriously wounded.
