Yes Adolf Hitler did Smoke

Another View:

Hitler Was A Smoker For 27 Years

Expelled From School At Age 8 (1897), He Kept Smoking Until At Least 1924

Another View:

When Adolf was a boy age eight, about 1897, he was in school in Lambeck. And because Germans believed in the so-called right to smoke, tobacco was widespread, little Adolf saw adults smoke, setting a bad example. He unfortunately followed their example, himself became a smoker. Yes, little Adolf was smoking.

It was after he quit smoking that he became a fervent anti smoker and a crusader for the anti-smoking cause. He personally funded research into the dangers of smoking

Hitler was the most adamant, characterising tobacco as "the wrath of the Red Man against the White Man for having been given hard liquor." At one point the Fuhrer even suggested that Nazism might never have triumphed in Germany had he not given up smoking.

The state performer in anti smoking propaganda was Adolf Hitler. As one magazine put it:"brother national socialist, do you know that our Führer is against smoking and think that every German is responsible to the whole people for all his deeds and emissions, and does not have the right to damage his body with drugs?"

The anti-tobacco campaign of the Nazis:

The first modern, nationwide tobacco ban was imposed by the Nazi Party in every German university, post office, military hospital and Nazi Party office, under the auspices of Dr Karl Astel's Institute for Tobacco Hazards Research, created in 1941 under direct orders from Adolf Hitler himself. [Robert N Proctor] Major anti-tobacco campaigns were widely broad casted by the Nazis until the demise of the regime in 1945.
