You can Enlist without knowing how. But, Once you get into Basic Training The Navy Will teach you to Swim. The Instructers are SEALS, and SEAL Divers.

∙ 14y agoThe is no requirement that you need to be able to swim to join the Air Force. There are certain careers in the Military that require that you know how to swim. If you are interested in one of these then you should learn how to swim.

∙ 9y agoYes, you must be able to swim to be a part of the Naval fleet. Navy members spend majority or their time in the open seas and doing dive missions that make swimming imperative to its members.
