Where did francisco franco live?

Francisco Franco was was the fascist dictator of Spain from 1939 to 1975 when died. He led his forces against the Spanish government and became a bloody civil war. During the civil war which lasted over 2 years, Franco was supported by Germany, which contributed hundreds of aircraft flown by German pilots. The Soviet Union, sided with the Republican government and donated military support till the war was over. Franco was pressured by Hitler to join the Axis Alliance during the war. Franco refused but he did authorize a Spanish brigade to fight on the eastern front against the Russians. Hitler had once admitted that Franco was so intimidating and that he was so uneasy negotiating with Franco! Franco was an adept leader and was harsh in his treatment toward political opponents. Despite that, the Spanish economy and standard of living was relatively high till his death in 1975. There were over 1,000,000 people that paid their respects at his funeral in Madrid.
