What countries declared neutrality during World War 2?

The US of course declared neutrality, but was then attacked by Japan, following which Germany and Italy declared war on the US. The Soviet Union remained neutral in the Pacific War almost to the very end, entering the war against Japan only on August 7, 1945, the day after The Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. The Russian's belated entry was due to their having all they could handle bearing the brunt of the war against Nazi Germany, and was pursuant to an agreement extracted by Roosevelt from Stalin at Yalta that Russia would enter the war against Japan within 90 days after the defeat of German. 90 days worked out to be August 7, and gave the Russians a chance to get in just for all the territory they could grab. In Europe Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Portugal and the Republic of Ireland (not Northern Ireland, which is a part of the UK) remained neutral. Many African and South American nations, and all the Asian nations which could stayed out of it.
