KEROPPI: Uranus was the god of the sky and he was married to the Earth goddess Gaea (who was also his mother). They had three different groups of children: The Titans who were handsome humanoids and Uranus' pride and joy, The elder Cyclopes, and the Hundred handed ones, who had one-hundred hands and fifty heads. While Uranus loved the Titans because oof their beauty, nhe was repulsed by the Cyclops and hundred-handed ones and locked them away in Tartarus so he wouldn't have to look at them. So Gaea, who was sad to see her children locked away, plottes with Cronos to kill Uranus because he promised to free his ugly brothers and sisters. She gave him a scythe to use to kill his father.

First off, Kronos didn't kill his father (Uranus). Uranus is immortal. Gaea, Uranus's wife and mother, gave Kronos a scythe to chop up Uranus, and throw him into the depths of Tartarus. She wanted to have him killed because he despised his children (The Cyclopes, Titans, and the Hecatoncheires), and thought that they would overpower them.

How did Zeus kill his father?

Zeus, god of the sky, didn't actually kill his father because his father (Cronus) was immortal, like Zeus.Instead, Zeus used his fathers own weapon to slice Cronus into a thousand pieces. Zeus then tossed all the pieces into Tartarus, the deepest crater in the underworld, and Cronus never escaped. Cronus was still alive because he was immortal, but he was harmless since his body was scattered in Tartarus.Zeus was then chosen to be king of the gods. Him and his brothers, Poseidon and Hades, chose the domains they would rule over. Zeus picked the sky, Poseidon picked the sea and Hades picked the underworld.Zeus did not kill Cronus, he and his allies fought a war and Cronus and the other Titans were driven into Tartarus.
