US bases occurred in the Philippines, South Vietnam, Thailand, and (un-official bases in Lao's and Cambodia), with temporary stays/visits in Indonesia and Ceylon (Sri Lanka). This exposure to US presence, would lay the FOUNDATION for future world trade and economic growth in industry, technology, world travel, and agricultural advancements.
