Blitzkrieg is a method of warfare that involves use of a large number of armored and mechanized infantry vehicles along with close air support to break through enemy defense by using short, powerful and fast attacks. The term was first used to define military tactics used by German army during invasion of Poland. The invasion started on 1st September, 1939 and was complete by 6th October, 1939, in little over one month.
