Depends on which kind/type/model/etc. Do you mean rifle,pistol, or gun? Guns were VERY expensive and were usually 12lb. Napoleons or 3in. ordinance rifles, although many other types were used from small 6lb fieldpieces to giant mortars firing shells weighing several hundred pounds.
