If you were in the Americas, you would be completely safe. The only attacks present were fire balloons in the US and Canada by the Japanese which caused Forest Fires. If you were in Europe then the safest nations would be into neutral Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland and Vatican City. If you were in Britain then children would have been evacuated to the country side or to the West coast where bombing was uncommon or unusual. unless your Father had a really important job, he would have been sent to fight for the Queen. Your Mother would have to do labour, work in factories manufacturing artillery, weapons, etc. Europe is not really and ideal place for war. In Asia, the Middle East, South Asia, Central and Western Asia were all relatively peaceful yet underdeveloped. If you lived in the Soviet Union and could withstand the Communist regime, then you'd be quite safe in the Siberian part. If you lived in Moscow, its seems okay as the Germans never really entered the city but they were so close! Now if you were in Nazi or Japanese territory, Good Luck with your survival. Unless you were trusted by the Japanese of Nazis, you'd be tortured brutally, especially if you were considered an "undesirable". In Oceania, you'd be safe too. Although be aware about the Japanese raids in Australia because there were a few. If you could avoid the war, you could have been asked to work in factories, in certain countries, others you may not need to.
actually, women worked at factories the same as men, only wome got paid 60% as much as men. the factories couldn't hire enough women to do the job. at first the factories didn't want to hire women because they thought that women didn't have as much stamina as men to do the work, but they were proved wrong. between 1941 and 1944, the amount of people increased by triple and over 6 million of those hired workers were women.
well people didn't exactly get in the World War 2, they had to! FRIST of all they wanted is to fight they also needed to surrender.... EXAMPLE: the people were sad cause they lost the friend husband and people they cared about. that was there choice!
In an over-simplification, the men went off to war and the women did their jobs at home. Certainly not all the men went to war, but the war pretty much consumed everyone's attention. The US did not keep a standing army in those day, nor did we try to police the world or get involved in foreign entanglements. Then suddenly, we were fighting on two fronts against two well-prepared military powers. It was far from certain that we could meet the challenge. Every resource went into the war effort. There were many shortages - rationing was put into place for gasoline and sugar , but many substances that were not rationed were very short in supply. My mother often could not buy soap with which to wash diapers for her 3 babies.
Some people survived WW2 just by like and the rest survived by going into hidingor migrating away from where WW2 was fought to placesa like the US, Britain or Spain.
