Do you mean in Headquarters company or 3rd platoon in some other company? Actually it probably doesn't matter. No master list is maintained of any company, let a lone a platoon.
You can find a list of those who served in the 77th infantry division in a book entitled, "Ours To Hold It High."
There were 2,594,000 Americans who served in Vietnam. Of those there were 58,228 killed, 153,452 wounded and 1740 listed as missing at the end of the war. There is no way to know how many South Vietnamese were in the war but estimates show the South lost 220,357 military personnel. There is no way to know how many North Vietnamese and Viet Cong soldiers were involved in the war but according to their government 1,100,000 of them died. Civilian casualities are difficult to calculate but the North Vietnamese Government list 2,000,000 civilian dead in the North and the South. Other estimates show the death toll as several million. It is unknown just how many soldiers from other nations served in Vietnam. 4,900 South Koreans died in the war. China said 1446 of their soldiers died in the war. Australia said 426 of their soldiers died in the war. Some estimates show another 200,000 civilians and soldiers in Laos were killed during the war. Laos became the most heavily bombed country in the world. There are different numbers from different places concerning how many fought in Vietnam. These are the ones I know about.
I recommend posting a notice with the Marine Corps League seeking Canadian Marine Vets.
