Some would say both, some would say neither. At first, he was only a young man filled with ambition and wanted to do anything in his power to help his Fatherland. The ways he choose to go, to actually do that might be considered rather sick. In the end, when he was loosing the war and could not do much at all to prevent it then of course he'd become crazy. Anyone with his power and in his situation would become crazy sooner or later.

Whilst Hitler's actions were despicable and he was directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, history lacks medical evidence to ascertain whether he was, in fact, truly insane.

no, Hitler was mentally unstable........that would'NT be a correct phrase.......infact he was a megalomaniac. a "megalomaniac" is a person who craves power, wealth, status or genius to the point of mania or someone who belives that they are ridiculously powerful..........he was not mentally unstable....

All Hitler really wanted was to get out all of the Jews fron Germany. He was crazy in killing more than six million Jews. I read a book about a man who experienced the concentration camps and was executed. Read: The Boy Who Dared its a good book and a true story. Anyways, Hitler was crazy yet there is no information on which he was always crazy.

The mental health of Adolf Hitler is up for debate, and nobody knows for sure if he was insane or not. Many would argue that his actions as fuhrer qualified as insanity, while others would argue that the actions were simply evil, or misguided.
