Absolutely. Posters helped to recruit millions of Germans for the Wehrmacht (German Army), but most effective perhaps, was anti-semitic Propaganda. In this instance, I'll use the book Der Giftpilz.
Written by Julius Streicher in 1938, this short novel taught children - yes, young Germans - that Jews were dangerous by likening them to an attractive albeit deadly mushroom. One of the final chapters in the book even blamed them for the death of Jesus Christ (please see the Related Question below for more on that). Goebbels (Hitler's minister of Propaganda) commissioned Streicher to write the book so that the next generations of Germans would be as anti-semitic as their forefathers.
it is effective because it persuades the public to do what you want
He was one of Hitlers closest associates and was a strong follower of the Nazi party. He worked with the Nazi party and helped them gain support in Berlin. Most dictatorships try to control the media. It was not specifically Hitlerian.
Goebbels was minister of Propaganda, a mammoth task, his office was also in charge of censoring all manner of media, Movies, plays, etc, and naturally supressing anything that was critical of the Nazi War effort . ( Total War, dont Ya Know) Goebbels orchestrated propaganda was omnipresent and all over the place- lurid cartoons showed, for example a Jewish star centered on a Map of London followed by a stylized bomb blast- during the Blitz campaigns, that is amont the milder stuff. Anti-Semitic torrents are and were to be expected.
Propaganda during World War II was used extensively by all major nations involved in the conflict to bolster support for the war effort, boost morale, and demonize the enemy. In Nazi Germany, propaganda was employed to promote anti-Semitic ideology and rally the populace around the Führer. The United States utilized films, posters, and radio broadcasts to encourage enlistment and war production, while Britain’s Ministry of Information crafted messages to maintain public resolve and unity. Each side's propaganda efforts shaped public perception and influenced the course of the war.
The Nazi propaganda minister was Joseph Goebbels.

Nazi propaganda techniques were effective because they used emotional appeal, repetition, and manipulation of information to create a sense of unity and loyalty among the population. Propaganda also targeted specific groups, exploited existing prejudices, and utilized modern media tools to convey their messages widely and effectively. The authoritarian control of the regime further limited opposing voices and reinforced the propaganda's impact.

Nazi propaganda portrayed them as vermin, thus dehumanizing them in an attempt to rationalize the Nazi crimes against them.
