Also, this aided the Chinese who were in current battle with the Japanese. But what mainly sparked the war was the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, U.S on December 7th, 1941. If the United States did not go to war with Japan after that, many believe that Japan could have gone on to attack inside the U.S like the state of California. This stopped the also growing of the strong Japanese empire, which tried to take over the Asian thearter.
