The attack of Pearl Harbor took place on December 7, 194. We were unprepared when Japan released their suprise attack and we lost many officers, ship, planes and other forces. On December 8, 1941 Franklin D. Roosevelt addressed congress saying December 7, 1941 is "a date which will live in infamy". It is the day we declared war on Japan. It also is the day we had our first Japanese prisoner of war. We had officers intimidating him to get information, he just sat there. Finally, he asked for a pen and paper. He wrote, in english, he was a Japanese fighter-pilot and would not tell anything about the Japanese attack plans or strategies.
