The US Marine Corps Utility Uniform can be worn with a beige web belt with brass tip and brass buckle through the trouser belt loops. The brass may be anodized or non-anodized. Certain on-duty assignments require an On-Duty Utility Uniform. The standard On-Duty Utility Uniform also includes an olive standard issue utility belt worn around the blouse. Certain MOS's require gear suspenders or a black leather belt worn over the blouse. Canteens, holsters and other authorized gear may be worn on the utility belt and gear suspenders as required by the orders of the day. When wearing a belt over the blouse, a Marine is required to wear a cover while indoors and salute indoors which he would not do otherwise.
