America entered the war because they intercepted a telegram caled the Zimmerman (i think) telegram that the german's were going to send to Mexico asking them to join the war and help them defeat America (in return they could have Texas and New York) and that was the last straw for America and so in 1917 they Declared War on Germany!

The immediate cause of America's entry into World War I in April 1917 was the German announcement of unrestricted submarine warfare, and the subsequent sinking of ships with Americans on board (the Lusetania)

also--- new person speaking---

while that is correct ultimately i feel that the Zimmerman Telegram was the ultimate cause for the US's entry into the war. The fact that Germany wants Mexico to declare war on US had a great factor in the hatred of Germany

Germany had actually won the war. Germany went to the British War Cabinet and said "Look here. You cant win this war. You don't have to give up. You don't have to accept the negotiated peace offered to you now by Germany. You can win this war if the United States will come in as your ally." They told England that Germany would get the US involved in the war as Englands Ally. In exchange for Palestine after England wins the war against Germany, Austria-Hungary and Turkey. England accepted that offer and shortly after the US joined in. Up until that point the US was almost totally pro-German. The news and media were (and still is) controlled by the Jews. Who were at that time pro-German as well, because most of them had came from Germany and wanted to see Germany lick the Czar. When the Jews saw they had the possibility of gaining Palestine things changed drastically. They were then reporting to the American people in the news and media that they ran, that Germans were killing Red Cross nurses, cutting the heads off of babies and other inhumane acts, which were all lies. We all now what happened after the US entered the war. Germany who was previously winning, were crushed. That's why Germany resented the Jews, the Nazis were formed and Hitler came into power. The sinking of Lusetania was not a main cause or reason. The US entered the war 22 - 23 months after that, so I highly doubt that had any factor on it. If not for the lies the US would have never gotten involved, Germany would have won that war. Hitler wouldn't have risen to power and WW2 would not have happened.
