It came down to a lack of men, resources, and the increased usage of tank and air warfare. Some believe the Generals of both sides started to realise that the number of men being lost was starting to go off the scales.

Germany's army was running out of money, support back home, men and resources and despite advancing somewhat at the end of the war, they had an army reluctant to fight, citizens reluctant to furter contribute to the war and the Austro-Hungarian Empire all but obliterated, the Ottoman Empire...well...gone.

The Armistace ended the War and one of th bleakest times in our history.
