In retalliation Austria-Hungry declared war on Serbia, causing the Russians to come to Serbia's aid and declare war on Austria-Hungry. Germany, Austria-Hungry's ally declared war on Serbia and Russia causing France and England to declare war on Germany and Austria-Hungry. Thus starting WWI.
