I believe FSB Jack was evacuated in late 71 as the war was winding down. My dad was there in early 71, LTC James P. Ryan, and as I understand it, he was the commander of FSB Jack. Dad passed in 2002, God rest his soul! CURRAHEE!

Your dad was commander of the infantry unit. I was battery commander of the 155mm artillery unit (A/2/11th Arty). I remember your dad very well. He was agreat man. Fire Support Base Jack was abandoned in Dec of 1971 as units were deactivated and sent home.
