∙ 9y agoThe Battles of Saratoga took place 2 years into the American Revolution. The British had decided that they were not making enough progress in New England. They thought they'd divide the colonies in two now, and separate New England from the middle and lower colonies. It was Continental Army tactics that caused the British to pursue this new policy.
