Jediism is a real world belief & or a philosophy stemming from the Jedi in the Star Wars films, in 2001 a large group of people put down Jedi/Jedi knight as a joke on the religion part of their census reports. to keep people from having to pay a fine for puting false info, it was reported that a few thousand "Jedi" lived in the UK and the department of census takers confirmed it as real and newly made religion.

If we consider the Jedi grabbing kids to be urban myths then you've a plausible reason for why it's a widespread belief despite being based on very little in the way of fact, myths are not required to be true after all. I wouldn't put it by a Sith to do a few of the cases too, as most see lightsaber and think Jedi!-----signature-----Excellence: "You are the forum's Quick Ben."

they bullied people in school because they were clever, now they've made a religion that threatens to make all people clever enough to learn how to hypnotise people into slaves.
USA who wrote the jedi path abolished slavery in 1865, but there's still some americans trying to revive it. The basis for the religion is to rid the earth of clever people so dumb people can be free without the control modern society has over them.
they are not frightening anybody. modern society has ways & means to deal with criminals. The fact that they are using children to popularise slavery is surprising even for americans.
Anything actually in the world nowadays that they call powers are normal abilities.
The Church of Jediism was founded in Holyhead - Wales, UK by Daniel M. Jones, it has since then become one of the largest and fastest growing religions in the world. There are a few churches that follow Jediism, however the CoJ (Church of Jediism) is said to have the most followers and thus the most media. It is also the only Jediism church that has has a seminar.
Jediism
No way! The Force is not real, it's just made up for the Star Wars movies. People cannot use it, nor can they call themselves Jedi. Jediism is not a real religion.
buddhist on weekends, jediism from monday-wednesday, nuwaubianism on thursday and friday.
They worship in places known as temples, but there are currently only a few of them in the world.
NO But i think there is a Jedi religion but im not too sure. Shamanism and Scientology. actually yes it is called jediism
The Jedi religion is also known as 'Jediism'. It is a religion which spawned from the Star Wars films. They use the philosophy found in the Star Wars books and films along with aspects from various other religions. They believe in meditation, and they believe in 'the Force'. I think a Wikipedia page exists on it. Search for Jediism on Google and it should come up! :D hope this helps!
I believe that Jediism (as in, Jedi, Star Wars), does not have any actual worship centers, other than the individuals home and social group, etc...
Just for a few numbers 21,000 Canadians, 390,127 English/welsh people and 53,000 in New Zealand claim Jediism (the religion of Jedi) as their religion.
In a 2001 census in Australia over 70k people identified Jedi as their religion. The number dropped off slightly in later years but rose again to around 64k in the 2012 version. This is the result of a movement started in 2001 when a group of Star Wars fans began recruiting Australians to their cause. "If there are enough people in the country, about 10,000, who put down the same religion, it becomes a fully recognized and legal religion" is what the email reads. This means that now Jedi is no longer classified as "no religion" and is now classified as a "Not defined" religion in Australia's government. Whether it's some persons idea of a joke, or just an interesting way of getting back at the government, some people think it's becoming a much bigger problem than originally thought. The idea that a fictional Jedi order created for books and movies in the Star Wars franchise could actually be considered a real religion is absurd, but fans seem to have figured out a way to make it legitimate, at least figuratively if not literally.
I believe that the practiced religion in New Jersey is the religion of Jediism. Unknown to most commoners, Jediism is commonly perceived in New Jersey as Islam is perceived in the Middle East. Everyone in New Jersey, including Christians, are really just Jedi in disguise. Be aware, because this is why the crime rate is so high.
Jediism, inspired by the fictional Jedi Order in Star Wars, has gained recognition as a religious movement in some countries. However, it is not widely recognized as a mainstream religion and is often seen as more of a cultural or philosophical movement.
