Jehad is the term for sruggle in Arabic and Islamic culture.

could have the meaning of holy war as many know, however generaly is used to describe the action of struggling many things as ( struggling illness) or boat is struggling wind and waves etc.

Jahad is normally misunderstood in modern days by most of people. By definition jihad is the struggle in the cause of Allah. It does'nt only mean to fight but it also include to do any struggle for good cause. As we all know that one of the most difficult job is to fight with one's own conscious, Islam has also taught us its importance by saying that the biggest jihad one can do is to fight with own inner self to forbid oneself from doing bad deeds.
