As of 3/15/12 The maximum age for enlistment is 35 years old, the Army has no intentions on raising the age limit. The last raise allowed new recruits the opportunity to retire from the Army after 20 years of service at the age of 62 years old.

The Spartan men were takin from there mothers at the age of 7 to start training for the Army. When they were 30 they were able to come home to there family but if they were told they need to serve they had to. When they became 60 years of age they retired from the Army if they made it to that age.

42 is the current cutoff for enlistment in the Army as an entry level trainee, IIRC. Take 42, add the number of years prior service you have, and that should indicate the max age you'd be eligible for reentry.

The minimum enrollment age set by the Pakistani Army is 17-23. The army allows for relaxtion of one year for graduates and a two year relaxation for being a holder of a valid drivers license.
Cutoff age is 42 for the Army. Even as a trained sniper/sharpshooter, you have to consider that what you were trained for (I'm assuming law enforcement) is significantly different or more oriented on one aspect of it than military sniper training is.

You're at the threshold, as far as cutoff age goes. 42 is the limit. What kind of shape you're in will play a role in this, as well as your general mindset. At 42, how will you feel about taking orders from a Sergeant half your age?
