What is the main cause of worls war 2?

Germany and it's 3rd Reich was abusing their power. They started killing people for who they were (like gypsy's, Jewish, mentally handicapped, etc.) and when Germany invaded Poland that started a war. The US didn't want to get involved until the bombing of Pear Harbor by the Japanese. WW2 was a war over ideology, basic human rights, and the balance of power in Europe.

The main reason was that the politicians had decided that war was the best course of action and they ordered the armed forces into combat. There was no great patriotic fervour like in World War One where people were rushing to enlist and though in the Soviet Union it is called the Great Patriotic War, people were still forced to fight.
