the second Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was shot, world war 1 officialy startes as the alies and the axis began to oppose each other. A bosnian rebel group called the black hand killed him. they tried many ways but eventually jumped onto his car and shot him dead. The assasin was arrested and i can't remember if he died in jail or not. hope this helps.
