After working to block communist infiltatation in the the central highlands through 1966-67, they were moved up to the northernmost provinces of South Vietnam in January, 1968. There they assisted in the liberation of the occupied city of Hue during the February '68 TET offensive, then on to Khe Sanh to stop the beseiged Marines there in April '68.
