None. Barbados did not exist during WW2 because it became independent in 1966. WW2 was in the 1940's. This is an absurd answer. Of course Barbados existed. Just because it was still a colonial possession does not mean it it did not exist. Many colonies played important roles in the War, most notably India. And many colonial islands played major roles, Midway is a good example. Barbados did not play a major role, but there were air and naval based that played a role in the Battle of the Atlantic. Barbados is located outside the Caribbean of the Lesser Antilles, well into the Atlantic. This helped to project Allied air cover over a substantial area of the Western Caribbean, Barbados also contributed raw materials, primarily sugar,
The military immediately saw the potential for airplanes to be used in a reconnasaince role and as bombers .
What role did Isaac Murphy play in the civil war
A big role
The Japanese military did not cooperate with the axis navies. Their enemies were in the Pacific Ocean, so they would not have sent ships to the Atlantic. The allies controlled the locks at Panama, so if Japanese ships wanted access to the Atlantic, they would have had to have sailed south between South America and Antarctica. So, no, the Japanese subs and ships did not play an important role in the "battle of the Atlantic", whatever that would have been.
No role whatsoever
